What information do we collect?
We collect information required for booking and advertising our entertainment services. This includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and other contact and event details. We do not collect sensitive personal details.
How do we use personal information?
We use data solely for the purposes of providing and advertising live entertainment to interested parties. This ranges from directly contacting people after they have requested a quote from us, to keeping track of the demographics interacting with our online advertising.
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
We rely on three relevant processing conditions contained within the GDPR.
Legitimate interests
We only use individuals’ data in ways they would reasonably expect, in order to supply and advertise our services. We are not using people’s data in ways they would find intrusive or which could cause them harm.
Consent
Where data is directly collected, we use clear, plain language that is easy to understand. We don’t use pre-ticked boxes or any other type of default consent. Individuals can withdraw and manage their consent at any time by emailing us at: [email protected]
Contract
Where a booking is made and we have a contract with the individual, we will need to process their personal data to comply with our obligations under the contract.
When do we share personal data?
We treat personal and identifying data as confidential and never typically share personal data with third parties. This only happens when we have either express permission from the individual, or on occasions where they would reasonably expect us to share their data, such that we can fulfil our business obligations to them. For example, if an individual requests to book one of our acts, we will share the date of their event with the relevant musicians, in order to check their availability.
Where do we store and process personal data?
We store personal data on trusted, private, secure and encrypted servers belonging to services such as Google Drive, Google Mail and Airtable. We check these services to ensure that data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and any applicable laws.
How do we secure personal data?
To prevent unauthorised access, use, destruction or disclosure of data, we only use trusted password-protected and encrypted services. We protect data against accidental loss by using trusted and reliable services and performing regular backups where necessary. Only authorised Rattle & Shake personnel have access to these services.
How long do we keep your personal data for?
We keep personal data only for as long as is required for the purposes of providing and advertising live entertainment to interested parties. Once this data is no longer relevant for these purposes, data is permanently deleted.
Your rights in relation to personal data
Data subjects have the right to control their personal data. On request and verification of your identity, we will share with you the information we have stored that relates only to you. You have the right to have this data corrected and/or deleted, which we will do without question. We will not fulfil a data subject’s request if fulfilling that request may expose the personal data of another person, or would involve deleting or altering data that we are required to keep by law.
Use of automated decision-making and profiling
We use some limited profiling in order to target our advertising to relevant groups. This logic is in accordance with typical modern digital advertising procedures, and for example includes targeting specific ages, professions, geographical areas and other basic parameters.
How to contact us?
If you have any questions, concerns or complaints about our privacy practices, or wish to access or make a request regarding your personal data, you can get in touch with us at: [email protected]
Use of cookies and other technologies
We use limited tracking on our website such as those provided by trusted third parties like Google to track the user journey across our website and the conversion rate of our advertising. We only use this data in accordance with this privacy policy.
